The CNC Model E
During Tri-CAM, Inc. ownership of the product line, they removed the hydraulics from this model and introduced servo drives making this a CNC machine. A servo drive is a special electronic amplifier used to power electric servomechanisms. A servo drive monitors the feedback signal from the servomechanism and continually adjusts for deviation from expected behavior. By adding this feature, the hydraulic expense was eliminated and allowed Arter grinders to compete with CNC machine capabilities. This CNC Model E is the current generation of Arter Precision Rotary Surface Grinders that we manufacture in our Rockford, IL USA factory and sell direct. It is available in 24”, 30” and 36” table sizes.
